How much is my hair worth?
It depends mostly on length, natural colour, thickness, and whether the hair has ever had chemicals on it. The estimate below gives you a range in seconds.
The final figure is only set at the valuation itself, because some things — shine, real density, the state of the ends — cannot be judged from a photograph.
The criteria we use
| Criterion | Effect on value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Length over 45 cm | Raises it sharply | Few people cut this much at once |
| Virgin hair, never coloured | Raises it sharply | Cuticle intact, much longer life |
| Naturally light blonde | Raises it sharply | Rare in Europe, and bleaching is no substitute |
| Thick ponytail | Raises it | Determines the usable weight |
| Coloured or highlighted | Lowers it | Weakened fibre, uneven colour |
| Chemically straightened | Lowers it sharply | Structure permanently altered |
| Badly split ends | Lowers it | Length is lost when the ends are trimmed |
Why we do not publish a price list
Because it would be false. Two ponytails of the same length and colour can be worth double or half one another, depending on thickness and the state of the fibre. We would rather give you an honest range and confirm it in front of you than publish a number we cannot honour.
