Questions about selling hair

These are the questions we get before anyone books a valuation. Each answer stands on its own, without reading the rest of the page.

Do you speak English?

Yes. Write to us in English and we answer in English. The process is identical.

How long does the whole thing take?

Two to four days between the request and the payment when we come to you. By post, allow the postal time plus up to 48 hours between arrival and payment.

How am I paid?

In cash or by MB Way when we meet you, once the hair has been weighed in front of you. By bank transfer for postal sales. We never ask for bank details before the hair has arrived and the figure is agreed.

Do I pay anything for the cut?

No. The visit, the valuation and the cut are free, even if you decide not to sell.

Will the cut look good?

The cut is done by a professional, in the shape you agree with us beforehand. We never cut without showing you first where the final length will fall.

Do you buy coloured hair?

Yes, at a value well below virgin hair. We tell you the figure before cutting, so you decide with the number in front of you.

What is the minimum length?

Thirty centimetres, measured from the nape to the tip, on dry hair.

Where do you operate?

Across the whole country, in three ways: we come to your home in the Lisbon metropolitan area, we visit Porto, Braga, Guimarães, Coimbra and Leiria by appointment, and we send a free postal kit everywhere else, Azores and Madeira included.

Is my data kept?

We keep only what is needed for contact and for the transaction, for twelve months. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time. Your photos are never published anywhere without written permission.

I am under 18. Can I sell?

No. We do not buy hair from anyone under 18.

Vous voulez savoir ce qu’ils valent ?

L’estimation est gratuite et ne vous engage à rien. Donnez-nous une longueur approximative et trois photos — nous répondons dans la journée.
